The museum will have extended hours on Sunday, June 14, 2015 (9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.). From star-spangled banners to five-star generals, Philadelphia celebrates the shared birthday of two of our country’s greatest institutions—the American flag and the U.S. Army!
This year’s festival includes special programs at Independence National Historical Park, the Betsy Ross House, and the National Constitution Center. Events include special mayoral proclamations, flag raisings, a moving naturalization ceremony, appearances by military dignitaries, arts and crafts, musical performances, education demonstrations, and much more! The Flag Day activities are part of a series of Macy’s Family Days at the Constitution Center.
Admission will be $5, courtesy of Macy’s
